Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista) Errors

I flash my phone and the first sync with active sync goes smoothly...
After the first sync, i uset it etc.. and then try syncing it again...

the phone gets connected but does not sync. Active sync gives an error:

It says ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop...

Does any one have any clue or any input as to what that is??

Re: Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista) Errors

i get the same thing - stock ROM and it happened from new. i've found sometimes rebooting PC/soft reset phone works. OR a quicker way: i've found the 2 culprits can be notes and/or contacts. i simply uncheck those 2, sync (lo and behold without errors this time!), REcheck them and sync again (no errors). have no idea why this works for me, but it does. my 2 cents...

Re: Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista) Errors

I have been synching vista with my Mogul and now with my TP without too much hassle. Make sure you have the latest Mobile device center from Microsoft. Delete partnership and create a new one. It is a bit fussy but it works. Also, on the TP you gotta make sure you select active sync to have access to the device itself. If you only need to put stuff on the SD then only elect teh second option which is storage . I am sure you will get it to work.
