Re: I have a Touch Pro with a Bad ESN
wouldn't it be sweet if when we loaded a spl we could put in a password so that a rom couldn't be flashed without the password.

Re: I have a Touch Pro with a Bad ESN
if anything get some money back by selling to fbcash, he just broke his LCD on vzn touch pro. If anything take a loss and try getting another one and ask for the ESN after the auction on eBay to check if it's clear, THEN pay for it.

Re: I have a Touch Pro with a Bad ESN
not actually asking for illegal info just in case it is against this forums rules, but is it actually possible to activate a phone with a bad esn on a network like cricket, say i lost my touch pro and claimed insurance but found the old one 3 weeks later under the back seat in my truck, i know its put on a block list for the esn b/c it was lost/stolen in the carriers eyes, but is it actually available to be put on cricket?
all of this is just a question, i dont make it a habit to let a 600 dollar phone get out of my site long enough to be lost, but spit happens |

Re: I have a Touch Pro with a Bad ESN
Good question.
i actually requested a warranty replacement on my old mogul because the data stopped working. Qwest who was an MVNO for sprint...they sent me a new phone and a return package for the old phone. i forgot to return the old phone within 45 days. after 45 days, i was charged 75 dollars and told not to bother returning it. i asked if i could activATE it as a spare if i needed and they said no. the esn will no longer activate (even though i effectively paid for the defective phone) i do not know if i would have been able to activate it on another carrier |

That would be the day I had to pay for a phone because I didnt return it on time and wouldnt let me reactivate it...Now thats BS. If you paid them for it, its not lost, stolen or anything like that in my eyes that is still a valid phone with a good esn number and ANY company should have to activate it. |

Re: I have a Touch Pro with a Bad ESN
Not advocating it at all. Just providing another option.
Personally, I activated my bad esn device with Cricket back in the day, worked fine.. Also activated it fine with Pocket Communications (local unlimited provider in S. Texas) |
