Best "TV" or "Virtual Reality" glasses for Touch Pro?

So I am planning getting a Touch Pro when AT&T releases it (soon). I will greatly miss the tilting screen on my Tilt, but perhaps the TV output on the Touch Pro will more than make up for it.
I am thinking about getting some "Virtual Reality" glasses, and connecting them to the tv output on the Touch Pro.

which glasses are the cheapest/best? I was hoping to find some I could see thru while I wear them if possible, so I could still see the world around me (and not miss my stop on the train).

Also- can you charge the phone while you simultaneously use the tv output? This could be great for using at work.

There was a pair on Woot the other day. I wanted to try them, but chickened out.

Re: Best "TV" or "Virtual Reality" glasses for Touch Pro?

I've heard no modern feedback on the glasses. All I've ever heard was about much older models, and all quite negative.

As for charging at the same time, if it's anything like the Sprint version, it'll include a cool little rectangular add-on that plugs into the jack and has a straight pass-through for power/USB, one for 2.5mm, one for 3.5mm, and another HTC-specialized jack for the included headset. The latter one, despite being the same shape, won't charge the phone, so the first and last connections are obviously not 100% identical, but I would assume they likely pass the video through in some way that would let you both charge it and display at the same time. I can't imagine how fast the battery would run out while doing it otherwise.

I saw some glasses called myvu(?). I want to try them out,but I don't know what it would take to connect to the Touch Pro. They're pricey buy I've seen some on ebay. Let know how they work.

Well, they should use the same standard connectors anything would, so composite (red/yellow/white) connectors, which is what the Touch Pro uses. If they required just about anything else they'd be useless for most devices.

Im not sure because ive never seen the product but if those glasses were designed for a PC wouldnt they use VGA or even a DVI variant? (unless of course their native resolution is very bad in which Composite may work just fine)

EDIT: I checked out the MyVU site and they show them being hooked up to Ipod video out ports so i assume they could easily be outfitted to use composite.

Re: Best "TV" or "Virtual Reality" glasses for Touch Pro?

I just checked them out. Simultaneously awesome and ridiculous. If my battery life wasn't as bad as it is it'd be pretty cool to leave the phone plugged into it and always have the display visible. But I'd look ridiculous doing it. And yet...

Re: Best "TV" or "Virtual Reality" glasses for Touch Pro?

If i take a win at the casino this weekend - I will order those i-glassestore ones and try them.. I mean really for $279.00 it will be worth it just to say I tried.. specially for video out.. at my current job I sit in a cube and do tech support over the phone - I could easily use these and no one would really notice!
