How to turn off notes on call?

I know this has been brought up many times but I can't seem to find it through a search. Can't search "notes off call" since off is too short. And doesn't bring it up if I leave "off" out.

when I go into phone settings and hit the advanced tab, there's a box you can check for opening the notes app if the stylus is pulled out. Where is the setting for notes when on call? It looks like this setting is specifically for the stylus. I've tried selecting this box and unchecking it and still get the notes app on calls.

On a side note, is it possible to have the keypad pop up while on call?

I'm confused by your question. The setting is so when you're in a call and you pull out the stylus, the notes app opens. What setting are you trying to locate?

mine works the way you want by unchecking box. uncheck then soft reset. see if that works.

My notes app will open just when I place a call, not when I pull the stylus out. This happens whether I select that box or not. I'm wondering if there's another place I need to check to turn this option off. I've done it before, but I can't remember how I did it.

That's not a feature, that's a unique problem you're having. My Notes never opens when I'm in a call, nor is it supposed to. There are no settings to make that happen as I can't imagine anyone would want it to. There's a Notes button to bring it up while in a call, but it's definitely not supposed to just open. There's no setting you're missing on this one, you have a genuine issue. Try a hard reset.

Well, I would like it to open the notes app IF i pull out the stylus, which makes sense to me. But I don't want it to open just because I place a call.

That might be the case, yes, since it's definitely not set to open by itself.

Re: How to turn off notes on call?

I don't suppose there's a cab or reg edit to remove the note link? The option of having it open if the stylus is pulled out seems sufficient enough.

Re: How to turn off notes on call?

Hey eptd, just so you know you're not crazy as I'm having the same issue. I was actually just searching for a way to disable this behavior too.

I too have the option for notes to open when stylus removed unchecked. I have also tried to set the screen to shut off during a call in the hope that that might stop notes from opening, and so far I'm not sure if it's working one way or the other.
