Battery Drain

I received a refurbished TP from Sprint last week because my old one didn't get the update for the 2016fix, my keyboard was fried and texts were delayed. The refurb has a newer ROM installed so I'm still getting used to the minor changes and have some text delays but my biggest issue now is the battery life lasts maybe 4-5 hours.

Does anyone have any suggestions to extend the battery life? Any help is appreciated!

Re: Battery Drain

Whats up VAGirl and Welcome. 4-5 hours is really not normal, I had TP and updated it my self to the newer ROM, and the greatest benefit of teh upgrade was imo better battery life.
Check your BT, email sync settings and maybe use another battery to troubleshoot where the prob is. A hard reset could be a step to take as well.Good luck

Re: Battery Drain

It's best to always hard reset with a referb. Gets rid of left over junk from the repair center.

Re: Battery Drain

Installing custom roms, lumos, new battery and registry changes are some of the ways you can also increase battery life. Also make sure your not automatically upodating things or automatically pulling and pushing emails. And disable things like wifi and data when not in use will also help.

Re: Battery Drain

I had a refurbished TP1 and ended up doing a hard reset and that settled things for me with the battery life.
