Threaded texting issuse...

I have a problem with texting. I'm using threaded text messages and whenever I get a text I check it and it goes to the middle of the conversation and not to the newest message. Also even though I respond to the text if I don't back out to the home screen and hit the messages button it will continue to say I have a new texts, the number growing as the conversation goes on. I did not have this problem until I downloaded the newest rom and text message fix from the htc website. Any fixes?
