This law has been in effect in Utah for a couple of yrs now, I agree fully with it it. I was T-boned by sum dumb college girl that was to busy texting to pay attention to the road. For hell sakes driving drunk is illegal for the same reason it impairs your ability to drive safely!

I was the designated driver tonight because I care about the safety of others. You might as well be driving drunk if you are doing all things you mentioned above while driving. And that pisses me off. Don't be stupid. Put the damn phone away when you're driving and don't endanger the lives of those around you.

I have absolutely no respect for people like you.

Go back and read num5kull27's post you quoted. Then read your response. How the hell does anything in your response apply to what he said? He didn't even GIVE a defense to be criticized, let alone say anything that remotely corresponds to what you wrote.

And for your information, I'm a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment. I regularly practice handgun accuracy at the local range. I'm not sure how anything I said indicates I would want to take away peoples phones, let alone guns.
