the first time you turn your phone on or do a flash and turn on ... it usually sits at that screen for a good 30s to a minute or so?

Did you flash a ROM designed for the CDMA TP2 or another type of ROM. I did this and thought that I was screwed. If you have a CDMA TP2, you need to use the CDMA ROMs. Also, if you hold the VolDown button and soft reset your phone, it should bring you to your bootloader screen. From there if you have your phone connected to your PC via a USB cable, then it should staute that in the white area at the bottom of your screen, as long as you see the USB text at the bottom, then you should be able to install another ROM.

Hope this helps...

I just got a Touch Pro 2 Sprint version and notice it supports CMDA and GSM does and was looking at putting the EnergyROM_28004_RHODIUM_25.Nov.2009_Standard on it. Do you know if that would work or not. I'm pretty sure it does but don't want to wreck it.

Do not use that one! Reports in the ROM thread are that that one will brick your device, although not unrecoverable. You want the one that says RHOD500 instead of RHODIUM. It seems that the RHODIUM one ended up in the wrong folder.

HTH!

This is how I fixed mine,
1. locate the stock rom on here. and download
2. power off your phone completely.
3. hold down the Vol while you hit the power button, keep the vol down until you get into the tri color scree.
4. from your computer attempt to write the stock rom.. the unit shold be recognized and the roms should write.

if this doesn't work iam sure others on here have better ideas.
all of these steps may not be needed but this is what worked for me. also I am not sure if you have to use the stock rom, but when this goes this bad. why not start again from the very begining. )
