whenever I use maps and don't touch the screen for 30 seconds(my backlight settings) the backlight will turn off and its not suppose to do that when using an app such as google maps.anyone know of a fix?(mighty rom november 25th update)

Re: backlight turns off when using google maps

There is probably a simple tweak for this. Although this is a feature in the latest versions, so it doesn't drain the battery as much. They have made it to keep up in the background, while not having to have the screen on the whole time.

"Backlight behavior: Your device backlight should turn off according to your system settings when Maps or Latitude is left open in the background. Previously, Latitude may have kept your backlight on when in the background."

If you are using it in the car for GPS, which I assume you are. You can set it to have the backlight never turn off when connected to power and plug it into your car lighter socket while using GPS. That's what I have always done. Just a suggestion, but I will keep my eyes open for a simple tweak to do what you asked also.
