text message notification does not work when in stanby mode ?

Any idea what is causing this when my phone is in stanby mode i do not get any alerts or notification only for text message.

i have every thing checked under sound/notification but as soon as i come out of stanby mode i receive all text and notification.

currently i have to check my phone every 15 minutes to see if i have a text. this really sucks

i thought it was pocketshield causing this but i unistall pocketshield still the same...

i do get phone comming thorugh and Alerts for phone and miss call and voice mail only text alerts and notification does not come through in stanby mode

am still using stock rom 6.1 sprint

Any help or ideas ??

I'm confused. What are you referring to when you say stanbdy? And how do you set the frequency of checking for text messages, they should be instant. Are you referring to SMS messages or email?

i was having the same issue. Do you have a custom dialer skin installed? I did and took that off and everything wen back to normal.

yes i do i have pimp package black dialer installed ??

ok let me unistall the dialer see if it works..

i did a hard reset and notification works now. going to restore sbp backup full restore try it one more time, if problem still there then i will uninstall black dialer...

no problem, that was the dialer i was using as well. it didnt even play rintones if it was in standby. so it had to go. So i tried the dusk theme one from XDA and it caused my camera to not work... so my dialer is skinless..

If i helped hit the thanks for you.. eventually id like to have a rep.

remove black dialer did not fix the sms notification in stand by mode ???

so something else is blocking it ...

when i hard reset without installing anything no problem but when i full restore my backup file back to original problem

try without a custom taskbar as well. i had other issues using certain taskbars. not the notification problem though.

i guess i have to install everythingone at a time to figure out what app is blocking the sms notification in standby mode. grrrrrrrrrrrr
