ATT Tilt 2 - Auto Lock

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you have tried enabling the built in WM Auto Lock? I've done the reg edit but it still doesn't seem to do anything.

HKCU\ControlPanel\BackLight\AutoDeviceLockEnable-----------> set to 1.

Re: Tilt 2 Auto Lock

Are you referring to a tweak that worked on the Tilt 2, or something about the tilt screen?

Oh no, I'm referring to the (supposedly) Built in Auto Lock in Windows Mobile 6.5. It's supposed to lock the phone after 5 secs of the screen being off. I can lock it manually, but I want it to do it on it's own everytime i put the device to standby.

So when you resume from standby it does the Slide to Unlock.

Should look similar to this:

Re: Tilt 2 Auto Lock

Use SmartLock application. It is NOT another lock; but it allows you to control how the built in WM 6.5 lock works (kinda like a control plannel for WM lock). I have it set to lock on suspend so when the power button is pressed, screen goes off and it is locked. When you press the power again, you see the screen you have above and you need to slide to unlock.

Re: Tilt 2 Auto Lock

You're thread title was confusing. I'm guessing "tilt 2" is the device name...but I read it as "tilt to auto lock" thinking you'd used "2" as the slang for "to". If that was the case I was going to mention that the max manilla add-on for manilla 2.5 has that feature. It's pretty cool actually, you just turn your TP2 upside down and it auto locks!!!

Re: ATT Tilt 2 - Auto Lock

Just an FYI, but if you do try max manilla, you'll need to go into the settings page to set the auto lock feature. It's off by default.

Re: ATT Tilt 2 - Auto Lock

Is it just me... I have installed the registry edit and the Smart Lock app on my Pro2 running both Juicy and Mighty and it does not work.
It does work... but it only works when it wants to.
Does anybody have a solution or a different application. Or has anyone else experienced this?
