HELP- trying to flash the patched radio...

So i am trying to flash the patched radio...i ahve run the sim/ unlocker from cmonex.

this is my first time flashing a radio and i am not sure if it is just like a ROM. When i put the phone in bootloader mode and run the radio.exe nothing happens. I do not a get a flash ruu screen on my comp. also the thread says that i should be in GSM mode, will the SIM card from sprint work for that? when i extract the the patched radio there in no RUU just application (i.e. 1.96wu.exe)


if any one is willing to help a brother out with the steps that i should be doing or what i am doing wrong, it would be great!!!!!

You shouldn't need to put the phone in bootloader mode, the RUU will do that itself.
Just sync with activesync or WMDC, then run the RUU

thanks though...i tried that and nothing happened either. the phone doesnt do anything and my comp starts to load it than it doesnt do anything....anyone that can help please!!! I want to get this done.

A couple of questions:
Hard-SPL installed?
SIM Unlocked AND Security Unlocked (if you're security unlocked it will show that at the top of the tri-color bootscreen)?
GSM mode with SIM installed?
What OS on your computer (Windows 7 didn't work for me)?

HSPL installed- yes
Sim unlocked- yes( just did it tonight)
gsm mode- yes (i only have sprint sim card. do i need another sim?)
Windows- vista( dont have 7)

I think the problem is that when i extract the patched radio, i do not get the RUU...anyway that i can get this to extract from the file??

I didn't use a GSM SIM nor put it in GSM Mode... My install of radio 1.96.00WU went smoothly. When you go to SIM security, does it say SIM Unlocked?

Yes it does say sim unlocked.
I think it has something to do with the fact that when i click the zip file of the patched radio to run the exe nothing happens at all. like i said, i do not get a RUU utility or anything. The computer acts like it going to run the program and than the nothing happens...

make sure you're running the unlocker .exe as administrator (right click, click "run as administrator"). it won't work otherwise.

*edit* also, when you're in bootloader, make sure it says "security unlocked" up top or you'll get stuck in bootloader when trying to flash this. this isn't a solution to your problem, but many people, including myself, have run into this.
