Can you nest folders in the HTC Manila Start Menu?

I saw this on the stock TP 2 rom for sprint, Office Mobile was nested in its own folder so that when you clicked on it in the Manila start screen, it would only show you the office programs. Is there a way to manipulate that so that we can organize the rest of our programs?

I've since installed Mighty's ROM and I have so many programs going on it's a little cluttered and i'm huge on organization. Anyone know how to do this?

sure. using total commander open \windows\start menu\ programs and then delete or drag and drop all you want! You can also copy shortcuts to anything else here too.

Indeed, this is true for the WM 6.1 or 6.5 start menu, but I mean inparticular the HTC Start Menu screen, the one that's stock with the Touch Pro 2.

Re: Can you nest folders in the HTC Manila Start Menu?

Its the same as the default... on your device using file explorer go to windows/start menu/programs .. there just create new foler name it what you like then highlight the .ink of the file icon you want moved until it prompts the menu and select ..move to.. and follow the device tree until you reach your folder.. fyi I don't know if that will work with the stock file explorer I, myself, am using resco file explorer and created a few using this method.. I am also a mighty rom user so just as a heads up the folders won't match his designs ..just plain ol' regular folders lol

Re: Can you nest folders in the HTC Manila Start Menu?

You can add folders to the Manila start menu, but you have to edit the registry as far as I can tell.

Code:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila\Program Launcher
You'll see a bunch of numbered registry keys, 0 is the first slot on the menu and it counts up from left to right on each row. All you really need to set is the DispName key and the Path key, and you may need to soft reset afterwards to get it to show. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much, just saved me a hard reset to figure that out...
