Force XT9 by default

Every time I close and reopen messaging my hard keyboard goes back to ABC mode. This forces me to open the soft keyboard and select XT9 before typing. Is there a way to make XT9 Default for the hard keyboard? Or the soft for that matter. Thanks!

Re: Force XT9 by default

If any of you are running MM(02/10/2010). You could try this setting, start/settings/personal/input, then click on options. It will bring you to Text Input Settings screen, try turning on the Word Completion selection. Maybe that's what you're looking for. Have confirmed that the settings are the same for stock rom (Sprint). Good luck!

Yeah, I just tried this out myself. It didn't work. Looked through the registry and didn't see anything that could be set to have the XT9 enabled constantly.
