Flashing Back To 6.1 For a Return

Will it be possible to flash back to 6.1 after unlocking the phone and loading up a new rom? I will be sending this device back in about a week for an exchange and REALLY dont want to wait to start playing.

I was curious about that myself. Something tells me a hard reset wont work. However you may be able to flash back to a stock ROM....just my guess

Since you have a CDMA version, how did you unlock the phone and get a new ROM?

He still WILL it be possible. Im guessing he wants to flash in the next few days when the HSPL is out, and not wait the week for the replacement TP2

Re: Flashing Back To 6.1 For a Return

I believe the OP is just saying that WHEN the unlocker comes out and he flashes a rom, will he be able to flash it back to stock. The answer, as already stated above, is yes.

EDIT: beat me by a matter of seconds subzero

Re: Flashing Back To 6.1 For a Return

I guess the question is where can I find the stock rom then. Is the one in the Upgrades section (this thread) the proper one?

Yes, it is definitely a stock Verizon ROM. It may be a slightly different rev to your own, but that should not matter.

The other issue nobody has mentioned is relocking your phone. Typcially if you're flashing back to stock and returning a phone you would also relock the phone as well....to cover your tracks completely. Now the question will be...once the HSPL is released, will a relocker be made available at the same time???

EDIT: Yikes, freebie beat me to the relock punch line by seconds by the looks of it.
