Disable all buttons (without locking)

Is it possible to disable all external buttons while playing games, videos, etc (similar to disabling the Windows key on a PC keyboard while gaming)?

I let my youngsters play various games or watch avi's of their favorite cartoons when waiting in doctor's office, restaurants, etc. They often inadvertantly press a button that will interrupt what they are doing.

It would be nice if I could run an cab/app or set some registry settings that would temporarily lock all the external buttons. Keyboard and touchscreen would still need to work, just not the external buttons.

Any ideas?
