Sent mail won't sync from TP2 to PC

I can get the inbox and sent mail folders from Outlook on my PC to sync to my TP2. But the mailbox on the TP2 where I receive and send mail is separate and I can't figure out how to get this to sync back to my PC. Is there any way to get mail that I send from the TP2 transferred to my PC?

Re: Sent mail won't sync from TP2 to PC

Go to manage folders for your email account on the TP2. Make sure that your Sent Items folder is checked.

Then make sure that your email client is subscribed to the same Sent Items folder. Some email clients like to just use a "Sent" folder which the phone doesn't use. So if thats the case, then your sent email won't show up on the PC.

Re: Sent mail won't sync from TP2 to PC

By "make sure that your email client is subscribed to the same Sent Items folder" I assume you mean my PC email client. That's Outlook. I have a Sent Items folder under Personal Folders.

I have the Sent Items folder checked on the phone. The phone shows two sets of email folders, the one that syncs from my PC and the one I set up on the phone. If I send mail using the sync'd account, it doesn't send until I connect to my PC. If there is some way to have just one account on the phone that both syncs to the PC and sends/receives on the phone that would be great. If I could sync the phone account back to additional folders on my PC that would be acceptable. I can't find any way in Outlook or ActiveSync to make this happen.

That's how it *should* work.. your folders on your device and the ones on your computer should be linked and identical basically.

Can you upload a screen shot of your personal folders on your pc and also a screen shot of the folder tree on your device? I cant really visualize what's going on from your description... not that it isn't well written, I'm just extremely tired.

We'll get it sorted bud

Re: Sent mail won't sync from TP2 to PC

OK, in Folders-TP2 you see 3 mailboxes. Larry @ RenoCasinoChips.com was created by going through Mail Setup on the phone. This is where mail coming to my phone appears and where sent mail is stored. Outlook E-mail was created the first time I sync'd with my PC. I created gbis.com yesterday while looking for some way to tie a phone mailbox to the sync'd mailbox. Now I have a new problem. I can't find any way to delete a mailbox!

You can see from Folders-PC that Outlook E-mail is a clone of Personal Folders on my PC.

Re: Sent mail won't sync from TP2 to PC

I did a hard reset on my phone last night and rebuilt everything from scratch. I still can find no way to link the inbox/outbox on my phone (that accesses my email on my ISP using POP3) to my Outlook inbox/outbox on my PC (that accesses the same mail account using POP3). I can't even move mail from one account to the other.

This makes no sense to me. What is the point of syncing email between the phone and PC if there is no way to get mail sent from my phone onto my PC? Is there anyone else with this problem? Are other people able to sync mail sent from the phone back to the PC (other than by having an Exchange server)? What's up, fuuup?
