Imagio TV, Touch Pro2 benifit?

the imagio was released with mobile tv, does that mean that they have the fm radio features unlocked on that? to my understanding TV signals are a radio wave just like fm. if so then maybe we could use the drivers from that on the tp2, the tp2 doesnt have an antenna like the imagio, but maybe it will work, anyone have any ideas?

If it's hardware based, I doubt it will work...if it's software based like SprintTV, possible.

Based on what I read, it requires hardware...

people are looking into it. From my understanding it has to do with if its hardware related or web....or some noise

yea its hardware but its radio waves, no internet needs to be used at all, im thinkin vzw has the fm driver set on it to work, the fm radio cabs that we have are coded for gsm, maybe this is coded for the cdma radio chipset. it could be a start to dump the rom and compare the fm radio driver files

My understanding of VCAST is that its based on the FLO technology that has a separate chip. so if this is the case it won't happen for the TP2 because its missing the correct chip. by trying to get the TP2 on VCAST you're asking my laptop's wifi to pick up EVDO 3G, not quite gonna happen

8notime is looking into dumping the ROM now.

Does anybody know how many channels that app gets??

I'm wondering how it compares to my SlingMobile setup, it looks pretty cool in that video......
