HTC Wi-Fi Router Question

I have the Htc Wi fi Router working perfectly fine on my TP2, But what does Mike mean when he said you have to have the SIM card in the phone? Why and is it mandatory?

right off the bat I can tell you the phone gives you a message telling you there is no sim card and swiches to CDMA only

It still work on my phone without the SIM card but the phone displays an annoying no sim card symbol on the top bar all the time.

I'm running it perfectly fine without any sim card at all. i have no sim card warning or anything.

I dont understand what you mean....it works exactly like id does with a sim card in. (CDMA only though)
