turning of data

I know this is posted somewhere on here but i cannot find it and i used the search button before i get flagged.

Today i downloaded my emails and forgot to turn off the data and it killed my battery in less than 45mins. Is there a way that i can set it to turn off after 5mins or something?

Re: turning of data

Data is supposed to disconnect when you're finished, unless you have something else open that is maintaining the connection, like a browser, or an Activesync push email session. There is a cab out there on XDA that will auto-disconnect an idle connection.

Re: turning of data

I think this is the cab. I also had a similar problem and I basically installed Advanced Config (search the forum for this)

Here are the steps within Advanced Config:
Menu --> More Settings --> Connections
Click the Disconnect After [Checkbox] and in the drop-down under it, set the timeout to whatever you want.
Attached Files
File Type: cab NODATA.cab (25.2 KB, 5 views) Click for barcode!
