Opera Mini 4.2 moving slow on EVDO

Opera Mini used to be really fast on my Titan, but it loads at 1x speed on my TP2 even when on EVDO. I tried connecting via WiFi and it's much faster. I'm wondering, is there something going on with Opera's servers that would affect it loaded on EVDO, or is it possible that my EVDO radio is damaged? I tried mobile speed test's 400k file and I'm getting speeds over 600kbps so I dunno what to think.

could the screen resolution on the tp2 be part of the problem?

Re: Opera Mini 4.2 moving slow on EVDO

It loads fine via Wifi though, which is a cause for concern.

I'm trying out Opera Mini 5 beta and the screen turns white whenever I open the keyboard and the screen transitions to landscape. That's a major issue so until I find a fix I'm not even gonna both to see how it loads on EVDO (I don't have EVDO coverage at home so I'd have to take a walk or drive to find out, lol).

Re: Opera Mini 4.2 moving slow on EVDO

I use Opera Mini 5 on my TP2 and I have never had the white screen lock completely. I do try to prevent opening or closing the keyboard with mini open, as sometimes the white screen lasts 10 seconds.
I installed mini via the 1 touch cab install here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...96#post1170396
Which makes sure that its using the correct java platform.
AND I've disabled the default opera mobile from running all the time, and shutoff push internet
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=532948
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1169125

With those setting opera mini works nearly perfect... NOw if someone could only figure out the hardware keyboard number issue (still use the soft keyboard for entering numbers in forms).

Re: Opera Mini 4.2 moving slow on EVDO

I'm back on Opera Mini 4.2 and its still moving slower than I remember it on my Titan. Only one other person has experienced this? There must be someone else.
