TP2 slow to turn on or is it just me...?

I am driving myself crazy here and would appreciate it if someone could ease my worries. I have noticed when I turn my phone on (wake it up) by pressing power, sliding the keyboard or pulling the stylus, the screen kind of fades on instead of turning right on. I could have sworn when I first got it that it flicked right on, instead of fading on. Is this normal and I just have a really bad memory?

Mine fades in. But it happens immediately.

Well I don't know what to say. My screen fades on but it does so instantly, like what mdphoenix said.

I'm pretty sure HTC devices have been doing the "fade-in" thing for a while...

Yep, sound fades in, even the keyboard backlight. I hate it on the sound, you miss stuff

Thanks, this is my first HTC or WM device. I'm coming from Palm, so a lot of this stuff is new to me. Thanks for all the quick reassurance.
