Annoying Functionality

I posted this before, but I don't think I was clear..

1. Make a phone call
2. Place phone against your ear
3. Talk for a while
4. Pull phone against your ear
5. Attempt to mute the phone
6. Can't mute the phone immediately because I am back at the home screen!!

Is there way to prevent the phone from going back to the home screen? I'd like to have the display remain on the phone screen.

Thanks much!!

Re: Annoying Functionality

not sure what's going on with your tp2... i've only made short calls (few minutes) so far as i'm more of a texter... butwhen i pull the phone away while on call it turns back on with the phone options there (mute being one of them).

also, the button on the back by the camera... is a mute button.

Re: Annoying Functionality

it's doing it because of a piece of software you have installed. I had the same problem, and a hard reset solved it. never was sure what app or tweak caused it, but it was software for sure.

Re: Annoying Functionality

I don't know how but installing the Rhodium Setting Tools, turning off the light sensor, and resetting the phone appears to work.

Funny thing? The screen still turns off! It just remains on the phone page instead of going back to the home page.

http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread...ed=1#post12216

Edit: Correction, it does not work consistently.

Re: Annoying Functionality

I'd really like to fix the "return to the home screen" issues that happen in call when the prox sensor shuts off the screen, and when the device is put to sleep. I have device lock disabled... it did this out of the box :-/
I have the Verizon version.

Re: Annoying Functionality

This is especially annoying when call your voicemail, you put the phone to you ear then go to press a button and I'm back at the home screen. Has anyone figured this out?

I've never had that happen. I wonder why some do and some don't

Re: Annoying Functionality

Seems to be a fairly common problem on the VZ version with the PIN lock enabled. It can be unlocked but if a reset time is enabled, it appears to produce the problem. But only with TF3D.
