Blocked pictures in emails

I'm sure this has been answered, but for the life of me I can't find out how. No matter what I do, when I get email from my yahoo account on the TP2, it always says that "internet pictures are blocked". I've selected to download the whole email, and all attachments no matter what size. But it still blocks the pics. What do I have to do get the whole email with out having to redownload anything?

Thanks

Re: Blocked pictures in emails

This is probably the single most annoying "feature" of Windows Mobile. Nobody has come up with a hack for this...

I dabbled with a Pre for a little while and the email client was such a delight compared to Pocket Outlook. I wish there any viable alternatives for Pocket Outlook.

It has - it's a security measure designed to prevent hackers from embedding coded image links in email messages and then checking their server logs to determine which email addresses they spammed are legit. If you automatically downloaded images in messages, every time you received a spam message your TP would download the coded image, the spammers would know they've got a real email address, the value of your address would go up substantially, and pretty soon you'll be bombarded by viagra and cialis announcements or winning prizes in Nigeria.

I suspect they will never voluntarily turn it off on the MS side, though perhaps deep down somewhere there's a regedit that controls it (at your own peril).

The option to download the entire message relates to images that are attached to the message and do not require downloading the message from a remote web server (so you can't be tracked just by reading it). You will receive those if you check "download attachments" and the entire message.

I can win prizes in Nigeria?!?!?!?!?!

But seriously... I tried searching for this when I was using my TP1 and had no luck. Then (thanks to someone like haus) i decided to just wait the 5 seconds it took for the pics to DL, and not get invaded w/more Tajikistanian Lottery Prize notifications...

since you are running a tmobile sim card in a sprint phone, I'm guessing your data speeds SUCK!!! since you can only get 1x. might give the phone a few more minutes to download those pics. it's trying.
