Answering Incoming Call

Here's the deal, when I get an incoming phone call I try to answer it by sliding the answer/ignore slider on the screen. The slider seems to have a significant lag. I can answer it, but it is not fast and responsive. Sometimes I have to slide the darn thing two or three times to get it to move over to "answer."

Is anyone else having this issue? I know I can answer an incoming call by pushing the talk key, but I'd like to use the slider...and I'd expect it to be as responsive as TF3D's slider.

My call ringer is an MP3 saved to the ringer folder.

Thoughts?

Re: Answering Incoming Call

1. MP3 Ringers will lag a bit.
2. If it's on the SD card it'll lag more.
3. Stock ROM, will lag a bit compare to cooked ROMs.

Re: Answering Incoming Call

I am using an mp3 file (trimmed to about 16 seconds of play time) for many of my ringers and they are all in the \my documents\my ringtones folder in main memory. I have not seen any lag yet when answering an incoming call. You aren't using a 4-5 MB MP3 file for a ringer, are you?

Re: Answering Incoming Call

I too have noticed a decent amount of lag... I just use the hard key 80% of the time now.

Re: Answering Incoming Call

OHHH---you have to use a SLIDER ??? That's weird. I've been hitting the green ANSWER key and nothing happens so I just hit the hardware button.

Re: Answering Incoming Call

The slider is cute, but honestly it works about 50% of the time for me -- particularly if I'm in a bad signal area. Laughable because if the keyboard is closed, that green/red buttons are like an inch from the slider -- so I hit those instead.

Re: Answering Incoming Call

I like the slider, as it keeps the phone from being answered by things living in and around the pocket.
