Question about new message indicators.

I seem to have a new message bubble showing that won't go away no matter what I do. I've looked at all my messages/email, etc. and there are no new messages anywhere that I can find but yet the icon won't go away. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Re: Question about new message indicators.

i'm sure you've already tried it, but the only way for me to clear thbem is to tap on the message itself to bring it into full view.on a different note, i would like to know how to remove the message counter on the message app. i like to keep all my messages, and in about 1 month, ill have 1/2,497 messages when i recieve one.if you delete the message, the counter goes down, but i dont want to do this. i rather just make the counter disappear from the message screen. any suggestions?

Re: Question about new message indicators.

Indeed, I did try that. Several times in fact, to no avail. New message indicator still persists despite my best efforts to get rid of it. :/

Re: Question about new message indicators.

For getting rid of bubbles check the sticky tweaks thread there is:

4) Disable SMS-Sent Notifiation - Turns off bubble alerting that text message was sent successfully.

or do you mean the little computer icon on top with a mail?

Re: Question about new message indicators.

Referring to the little number indicator that sits on top of the mail envelope that alerts you to new messages/mail. I've got one sitting on top of my mail icon that won't go away, even though I have no new email/mail messages. :/

Re: Question about new message indicators.

open message in question, then scroll thru 2 find a closed envelope icon. click the icon, then it pops open. I have 2 do this once in a while.

Re: Question about new message indicators.

I, too, am having this issue, except for me it's with the new text message indicator. It only seems to happen when I have long conversations via text. Once the convo is over, I'll close the messaging screen, and when i get back to the home screen, it says I have a bunch of new messages, but it's the exact same number of messages that I received from the other person during the text convo. I dunno why it's saying they're new messages, because I obviously saw them during the course of the convo. The kicker is that I have to keep loading that particular convo multiple times and look at each "new" message on multiple pages. The number of times I have to load and close the convo is directly proportional to how long the convo was. This is quite annoying.
