Bluetooth PAN on Verizon TP2

The Verizon TP2 didn't come with ICS, so I installed it. USB tethering works great, nice and fast. However, not only am I unable to get Bluetooth tethering to work, it's not even an option in the drop down menu in ICS. I tried connecting the TP2 to my laptop via my laptops PAN menu and it can't find the TP2.

I'm wondering, is the PAN profile for bluetooth disabled on the Verizon TP2's?

Good question, I'm not sure. I have two versions that I got a while back for my Titan. I've tried both, neither list's bluetooth as an option. You're on the right track though, I was thinking that the ICS version I used may be outdated and unable to utilize bluetooth.

Does anyone have a newer/newest version?

I have the same problem. I tried the one posted in the Tweaks link in this forum, and one that I used on my Touch Pro. Like the OP said, USB works fine.

Dude, why don't you just hi-jack the thread?????? What exactly does the keyboard cab you're looking for have to do with the OP's Bluetooth PAN issue?

Not EXACTLY the solution you're looking for, but some time ago after I gave up trying to bluetooth tether a Mac on my Titan, I wound up using WMWiFiRouter to tether by WiFI.

Re: Bluetooth PAN on Verizon TP2

I also downloaded/installed via MightyMike's Tweaks etc sticky here in the TP2 forum on my VZW TP2.

USB, no bluetooth.

Everything I've tried to connect initializing connection from laptop or phone, etc, can not find a bluetooth PAN, etc like I could with TP1.

Would also love to see that new comm manager with 'wifi hotspot' sharing working, dunno how long until we see that? I'd always be open to testing!

Yep no doubt I'm aware of going that route, I use HTC Wifi Router which is similar to WmWifirouter.

So it seems others are having the same issue as me. Hopefully someone will have a solution

BTW Ignuss, how is it living over there, I've seen fort lee on maps and in person a few times and it seems really crowded.

NJ is good once you're 5 miles away from the Turnpike which is what everyone not from NJ sees, hence the bad rep. Actually real nice, but Fort Lee has the Bridge into NYC so right around there is a little busy. A lot nicer than you might think.

However still can't get BT PAN working even here in NJ!
