TP2 Keyboard backlight

I haven't really read any posts about this and it just crossed my mind. How is the backlight on the tp2? On the tp1 the backlight was kind of uneven to where some keys where brighter than others and what about the backlight turning off too soon? Can anyone tell me if its the same with the tp2?

Re: TP2 Keyboard backlight

Kinda off topic but one of many new features on Omnia 2 (which is making me seriously condsider it over the TP2) is its lcd which lights up each pixel independently, when its black its off so the whole screen look a lot more vivid and consumes a lot less power. Not to mention the processor is a good deal faster. Really making me taking a look at that model.

The keyboard backlight is controlled by a sensor but it does have a timer for how long it stays on after the last key was pressed...of course I can't tell 100% because it already feels that I've been w/o my TP2 too long.

Is it like the 6 or 7 seconds like the tp1 or longer?

Re: TP2 Keyboard backlight

The TP2 keyboard backlight will only illuminate in dark lighting conditions. When it does, and the keyboard is left idle, it will turn off after 20 seconds. That is from my experience. Hope this helps.

Re: TP2 Keyboard backlight

Here's my TP2, with the keyboard lit up (as posted on WMExperts)
You really wanna confuse the keyboard, use the phone in 'dim' light, it pops on then off again. Also noticed LED lighting drives the light sensor nuts.
