CDMA Disable

I have Sprint TP2. I want to use it only for GSM in another country. But it is currently showing as CDMA. When I went to options >settiogs> Connections > advanced and click select networks I see multiple options such as my company name, home, data network, my work network & My ISP. But I do not see an option for CDMA or GSM. What do I do.

Re: CDMA Disable

Go to Start\Settings\Personal\Phone\Network
You can choose CDMA or GSM there under the Mode of operation. Have a blast!

Re: CDMA Disable

Thanks, I went to the setting and the only option I see is CDMA only. GSM was working couple of days back, but suddenly it stopped working and I see only CDMA option.

I am not using Stock ROM, I am using a ROM from this site, not sure which one. I am a bit phone illiterate.

Re: CDMA Disable

If you say you had this option on a custom rom and it disappeared? Is your sim card working?

Re: CDMA Disable

Yes, I am with gTen. Try powering down your device, remove the battery and the sim and reinsert. Then go to the settings above, and see if the GSM is available.

Re: CDMA Disable

Thanks guys, it worked. I also wanted to know whether there is a way to disable data usage from GSM and the phone should use data only from WIFI.

Thanks,

Vineet
