Sound are turned off when headphones unplugged.

Driving me crazy.

System sounds are being inactivated by my headphones somehow.

For example: I plug headphones into jack and listen to music. When I unplug the headphones the icon disappears, but somehow all of the sounds are turned off.

And it's not just when the headphones are disconnected. Switching from one song folder to another sometimes causes it, too. I have to unplug the headphones and then plug them in again to get music to play.

This happens with both TCPMP and Beyondpod-both audio programs. Can't figure out if one of them is the culprit.

I also have Nitrogen installed and never had a problem with it. I think it does it sometimes now, too.

Any ideas?

Re: Sound are turned off when headphones unplugged.

does this also happen when using the stock windows media player? sounds to me like ur headphone jack is getting stuck so what u can do is go on amazon and look for a mini USB headset to plug into the charging port to use. u can also go the Bluetooth route.
