solved: 2016 sms messages, all over again.

EDIT: i somehow missed the obvious answer in the stickyed thread. i guess that's what i get for trying to fix this stuff past my bedtime. no longer need help with the problem.

I just replaced my phone and restored all my backed up text messages from microsoft's "My Phone." Many (about 400 of the 3000) now have the year 2016. It seems to be random, as some from yesterday and earlier today have the problem, as well as many from the past few months, but others from the same times do not.

I can't find the fix HTC put out anymore, except in the upgrade to 6.5, which i already have, and i'd just like a way to adjust the timestamp on the ones that already have the problem so i don't have to delete them all to let my new messages show up first. the workarounds i have been able to find seem to just work on the ones you receive in the future.

just to make sure i'm clear, i want to fix the messages that are already on my phone so the order is right. the messages i've received after restoring my backup show the correct time stamp.
