Which Opera to install for TP2?

Is there any new Opera software for the TP2?

Which one should I download? The mini version?

Any problems with which one?

Thanks.

Re: Which Opera to install for TP2?

From what I understand... The mini version is the fastest one.
I don't do anything all that demanding on my phone's browser... So I just use the default one as it is very conviniently accessed though the slider at the bottom of the phone.
But I think alot of us have our favorites... You may just get a different answer from each of us. LOL.
Good luck bro.

Re: Which Opera to install for TP2?

I thought anything newer is better.

I cant seem to find where to uninstall the default Opera. How to do it?

I will install the mini Opera. Anyone else have any problem with it?

Re: Which Opera to install for TP2?

Yeah... I believe the newer ones are better... Just too much of a hassle for me to go through to be able to google something or wiki it... Or whatever I do on my phone. The default one serves me just fine.
I have mini installed... Just never use it.
lol.

I am using the newest version (Mini). Once you install it just go into settings and check the box for making it your default browser. It's that simple.

Re: Which Opera to install for TP2?

I just stick with 10 mobile. mini is fast and all, but it gives me way too many problems. Nearly all sites that I have to log into, it doesnt work properly, especially full site mode rather than mobile site.

Re: Which Opera to install for TP2?

You can have Opera 9.x/10 AND Opera Mini at the same time. Hell, I have Skyfire and IE next to those as well, even though Opera Mini gets the most action. I'm so glad that it came out of beta and you can finally pass URL's to it, to make it a default browser.

Re: Which Opera to install for TP2?

i use opera 9.7 for downloading files, skyfire for flash support, and opera mini 5 for regular browsing. basically if i get to a page that opera mini cant handle, i switch to the appropriate browser. I dont think ive ever used Internet Explorer on my phone

Posted from Opera Mini 5 Final Release (:

Re: Which Opera to install for TP2?

Useful thread! I had been using 9.7 but switched to mini 5.1 - it is indeed faster for me.
