How to disable the built in WM 6.5 lock and use SU2U moving forward

I have a HTC touchpro 2 and it's been flashed with the S3 Rom
I want to disable the built in lock and password screen and replace it with S2U2
I read the faq on that
http://67.43.3.117/~acs2co/S2U2-faq.html
It pointed me to the Disable auto device lock cab
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=5406239
I installed that and soft reset
I then installed SU2U 2.43
When I now hit the Windows hard key (next to the answer phone hard key) I get the SU2U lock screen - Perfect
If I click on the SU2U icon, it also goes to the same SU2U lock screen - Perfect

However if I soft reset or hard power off and reboot, I don't see the initial Su2U lock screen on bootup
I get the initial lock screen then the password screen and then the regular workspace of icons and never SU2U
How do I get SU2U to replace the standard lock and appear on bootup ?
Or essentially how can I disable the standard lock and password screen on bootup
I thought the Disable auto device lock cab would do it, but no luck
I couldn't see anything in Settings either - I can change the password and time but not turn this on/off
I have a registry editor but not sure what to change to affect this function

On SU2U Settings --> Advanced it shows the following
- Replace WM 6.5 system manual lock is On
- On wake up delay MS start of S2U2 is 500
- Delay blank screen on talk is 300
- Boot up delay is 5s

have you set a password with s2u2? it should automaticly kill the stock 6.5 lock if not there is a setting in s2u2 settings for that

Re: How to disable the built in WM 6.5 lock and use SU2U moving forward

Thanks for the quick response
No. I checked S2U2 settings and Password lock is Off

I did search this forum and there are a number of threads about the built in WM lock. And it seems as though there are many 3rd party lock applications e.g S2U2, Pocketshield and others. I would have thought that these over-rode the default windows mobile settings but it doesn't appear that way

Also I'm not sure if I'm complicating things by having the cookie mod installed
But I didn't see anything in settings within that mod to control the lock
