Internet connection stability

I tether my phone to race online on NASCAR Racing 2003 season. I've had an Alltel Touch Pro and never had a problem with my connection stability. I just got a Verizon TP2 last week, and now the connection will be fine most of the time, but the connection will become unstable periodically, causing "warping", meaning my car disappears for a few seconds. Is there something different with the connection on the Touch Pro 2? Are there any tweaks I can use to make the connection more stable like my old Touch Pro? This is my only source for high speed internet that has a good enough connection to race with.

Re: Internet connection stability

hmmm.. not really.. ALL winMO devices ALL use one of a few main options to tether.

Wifi - usually through Wifi Router app - commonly referred to as HTC,XDA, or Tom Codon Wifi Router

ICS - USB tethering option native to the device - this is used by many still and most report the "best" speeds using this method

WM Wifi Router - a Shareware app that allows serveral different tethering options(3G>Wifi, BT, Wifi>USB and more)

WModem-doesnt seem to work anymore really..

so you can see, were ALL using the same methods pretty much..

Re: Internet connection stability

I'm aware of the things used to connect and all, I was just wondering if there were any tweaks, like registry edits, to keep the connection more stable. I figured it would be the same on my TP2 as it was on my TP. I did flash a different radio last night, and I'm gonna test it out this afternoon. I'm thinking that may help, because with my TP, I flashed a Telus radio and got way better connection. Its fast enough, I just need it to maintain stability.
