Re: TP2 quit charging the battery..
Yeah, it's an overheat warning. Third party chargers will fry the internal circuit. Where you using a third party charger?
If so, have you tried the HTC charger, or a charger available through Sprint? I cooked a TP1 by using a Motorola ac charger... |

Re: TP2 quit charging the battery..
I have a third party car charger but I have used it on the past 3 HTC phones with no problems. As for wall chargers they are all HTC chargers. Nothing was changed when this happened. I had charged it overnight and it lasted through the day so leaving work I plugged it into my car charger and it wouldn't charge.
I can't immagine somehing would just quit out of the blue like that??? Is there a registry setting I can change incase it thinks it is overheating? |

Re: TP2 quit charging the battery..
I don't know of a reg edit that will change a thermal protection value in the device. You may have to replace it you can't get it to charge.
One thing you might try.... Ease the charger usb connector up to the TP2 connector without pushing it all the way in to see if it will now charge. This worked for a while on my TP1 till I got it replaced. |
