-Trying- to Tether, this is ridiculous!

I just upgraded from stock to MightyROM just so I could get stealth tethering, and now that same tethering is screwed completely up!

USB tethering: knocks me down from EV to 1x (3kbps down) upon connection.

Wifi Router: Blazes at 500kbps, but randomly shuts off after 10-15 minutes. It doesn't even say it shut off, my laptop just randomly loses internet connectivity while retaining a wifi connection and I have to soft reset to get it back for 15 more minutes.

I'm on U.S. Cellular (Same hardware as Sprint).

Any ideas?

Evdo? What's that? 0_o I'm new to all this, I've been using iDevices up until I finally concluded that Apple dumped their geek/hobbyist market to pursue the moron/trendy market. I just bought my TP2 not too long ago and it's the first smartphone I've ever used so I don't really know a lot...

Oh...I knew that >.>
How does that make me lucky? Ev's max is 550kbps while 3G's is 3.4Mbps =P (U.S. Cellular v. AT&T comparison)

Re: -Trying- to Tether, this is ridiculous!

the 3.4 is going to be close to the fastest end of AT&Ts 3G and i know for 100% that Ev rev0 is about 550Kbps but UScell is going to Ev rev A and that is upwards of 3.1Mbps http://www.airvana.com/technology/te...evdo_rev_a.htm

The newest standard release (052410) from the official website and I'm (sadly) using an Acer Inspire...to lazy to turn on the lights to look at the model number but it doesn't really matter since it kicks me off my iPod too -_-
