my phone number is blocked when calling some people

ok, here is what I've had happen over the past couple of months

I've made some phone calls to people and I get this message on their end that they do not speak to people who block their phone numbers.

I've been also told that sometimes when I'm calling a person that person will tell me that my phone number came up in their caller ID as a blocked number.

Where on my Touch pro 2 do I go to make sure that my phone number doesn't show up to people I call as a blocked number.

I hope this was clear as I can't think of any other way to explain it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Who's your carrier? If you're CDMA (Verizon), you have to call them up, somehow they've decided to block your number. But if you're GSM (AT&T), then under Settings/Personal/Phone and the GSM/UMTS Services tab check what your Caller ID setting is.

id try to figure it out as its about to be illegal to have any type of blocked, inaccurate, or misleading caller id lol

Are you returning calls through voicemail? They always show up as Unknown to my callers.

most definitely.. google caller id spoofing legislation.. i chose the one from spoofcard though because it talks about the 2 different versions of the proposed bill.. http://www.spoofcard.com/hr1258

but yeah, it might end up that everything that places calls, even auto dialers would have to have the accurate info in the caller id.. no block, no unknown, no hidden/misleading info.. period! depends which goes through.. but its gonna happen on some level real soon here..

Heres some information for you that you might want to try.
*65+SEND - enable caller id block
*85+SEND - disable caller id block
*67+SEND - per call caller id block
*82+SEND - per call caller id unblock
