Question Phone call problem

I received my Sprint TP2 a couple of days ago and played with the stock ROM for a day. Yesterday I updated (after HardSPL), with EnergyROM.

I was hoping if someone can help with me with this peculiar problem that I have while making phone calls.

All my phone numbers in the contacts are stored as +1 999-999-9999 format.

When I call any number, the phone attempts to dial out, then I get a sound like when the called number is busy and it disconnects immediately (within 3 seconds).

But if the punch in the numbers 999 999 9999, then the phone is able to call the other party correctly. I also tried storing the numbers as 1-999-999-9999 or 999-999-9999. Both these work correctly.

Any ideas why "+" causes the problem?

Re: Phone call problem

Did you hard reset your device after flashing? if not try that first. if you did then flash the Sprint Stock 6.5 Here is the link: http://shop.sprint.com/en/software_d...uch_pro2.shtml

The stock rom is better and more stable. Energy ROM is my favorite but kills the battery quick.

Re: Phone call problem

My guess regarding the + sign is that's a symbol for international calls. You may be inadvertently confusing your phone into thinking it's trying to dial an international number when you are trying to dial US or Canadian (although it's technically international, we share the same country code - 1 -).

I would suggest checking your international phone settings and see what you have there. Go to phone, CDMA tab, Options, Plus Code Dialing and see what you have there. You may want to try disabling it.

Thanks..for your input. I tried hard reset again. But still the same issue persists.

I did not like the stock ROM, hence went with Energy ROM.

I looked in CDMA tab, but did not find any option for Plus Code Dialiing.. but I checked all the tabs and all the options in "Phone" app, but did not find anything helpful about this.

Still searching for answers.

Re: Phone call problem

Thanks to a dr.boyd on slickdeals for providing me the fix. Here is the link to the solution.

A registry change as described above solved my issue.
