Re: new hardware inside of TP2

Unfortunately the old one is gone and I can't get pictures. The new one may be possible for me to do. I have notice initially and lot slower speeds on my internet but time will tell. I was hoping someone knowledgable would be able to shed some light on the change.

Re: new hardware inside of TP2

I got a new one as a replacement last week, build date of 3/25/10 and the device just feels different.....the power button at the top seems to be a little more flush with the casing because I have to be more accurate when tapping it for it to work......where as the other one was easier to access. Not sure what all if any has changed but it definately feels different than my old one; the old one was in great shape, activated the first of November.

Every TP2 or phone for that matter will have a different feel...I for one just got a replacement TP2 a week ago and notice the power button at the top is different from my original TP2. Over time of the device I'm betting HTC updates parts, improves hardware etc...but it's nothing major...Any device out there usually will have 1-5 revisions in its lifetime, meaning it will go through some changes, hardware and internal parts swap for more reliable parts etc.

The phone itself speed wise should be any different....

Re: new hardware inside of TP2

I got a replacement last month as well and noticed a couple of other things... I got my first one right as they came out. Back in early August '09. My old one would not wake when I pulled the stilus... This new one does. (I understand this is a setting that can be selected on or off... However I'm saying, right out of the box. Not to mention I haven't really looked for the setting but haven't stumbled on it either... I think I remember seeing it as a setting in diamond tweak though)
When I upgraded the old one to WM6.5 the unlock feature was side to side and the new one came preloaded with 6.5 with a slide down to unlock feature. The keypad for the unlock code took up the whole screen on the old one and only a quarter of the screen on this one.
The power button does seem a little more flush and when I first got it this one seemed to have alot more of that clear blue protective plastic on it than did my old one when out of the box. However... I don't notice any difference under the battery cover... Not even when I remove the battery... All seems the same. (power button is a bit more flush and the end key is up and flush with the rest as opposed to my old one which seemed to be pressed in)

Now you're screwed. Apple is going to send REACT after you like they did Jason Chen.
