Do you mean save an incoming caller's phone number directly to SIM Card's existing contact? This is what is described on Page 17 of Sprint Worldwide Service Manual for TP2: (http://support.sprint.com/global/pdf...ices_guide.pdf)

"When you copy a contact that has several phone numbers to your SIM card, SIM Manager automatically saves each number as a separate entry on the SIM card. Each entry shows the same contact name but with an indicator appended at the end of the name. By default, /M, /W, and /H are appended to indicate mobile, work, and home phone numbers respectively."

It appears that each phone number is saved as a separate SIM contact entry in Sprint's version of HTC TP2. Hence it is not possible to save a new phone number to an existing SIM contact for Sprint's TP2, since it saves it as a separate entry.
