Disabled HTC Dialer, now can't see Call History (but it's there!)

First, I have a T-Mobile TP2 with a stock WinMo 6.1 ROM and few tweaks.

But then I used the following registry tweak:

- Disable HTC Dialer :
HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 0

From this HD2 thread:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...to_threadtools

to disable the HTC Dialer.

Kewl, I like the stock WinMo dialer much more.

But now, above the keypad, there is a blank white area where I'd expect to see the Call History... and it's there, in that I can select lines in the blank area and it'll bring up the Contact or if I select an area (it then darkens) and I can select the 'Talk' button and it dials. If I hide the keypad, the whole area stays white and I can again select a line to access a contact, but I still can't read them.

But if I select the 'Call History' button, a full-screen WinMo Call History comes up and is very readable.

I don't want to revert to the HTC dialer (which makes the Call History visable again).

Thoughts?

Interesting. I installed some software that disabled the HTC dialer the other day (unexpectedly!) and I had the same problem on my Sprint 6.5 TP2. I don't have a solution...just noting that you're not the only one who has seen this.

Here is solution:

Change following registry

HKLM\Security\Phone\SmartDial\UIExtension to ""

Best way to do is rename existing UIEtension & create new string in case you need to revert back to HTC dialer.

Hope this will help.
