For those wanting to flash back to 6.1...

I wanted to let those of you know who wanted to flash from the 6.5 back to the 6.1, that I have had no problems with it whatsoever.

I used the file below which is found in the CDMA thread RUU_Rhodium_W_Sprint_WWE_1.21.651.3_RS_1.96WF_NV_S PCS_1.42_0430_PRL60652_Ship.exe

It was mentioned to me that HTC says NOT to flash down on their site, but this is all

It reloaded the radio and ROM just fine, & no unlocking required. I installed SPB backup, reloaded the save I did before flashing to 6.5, and back to working flawlessly again. I did have to delete some of those music files and backgrounds and that HTC video, but that's it. It reloaded the Mobile Shell settings and layout just like I had it.

I had way too many problems with 6.5 from Sprint, and could not get it how I liked it. I see tons of posts on here about the complaints of it, and I took the steps to eliminate that by going back. With the addition of Mobile Shell, i've had NO problems with it at all today.

For some, they may never go back. For me, it was my only choice for now. I do wish however I could get rid of the Nascar, and some of that garbage to free up more memory, but many of the 6.1 ROMS I see out there have too many other things stripped I would want back on.

So for me, the out of the box ROM for now seems to do the trick. When the time comes to flash to maybe try 6.5.x I may.

But for anyone wondering what will happen...NOTHING If you hook the phone up, execute the exe file and follow the instructions, you should be up and running in no time.

Re: For those wanting to flash back to 6.1...

Thanks for the info here. I am considering going back, but at the same time I'm trying to get 6.5 to work well for me. I probably would have done it sooner but the warning on the HTC website made me nervous about it. At leas I know I can easily go back now.

I know, right? What can be done about it, I wonder.
I have it on 'Mobile View' and it looks tiny one time, normal the next.
I will stick it out for a while to see if the bugs get worked out.

Re: For those wanting to flash back to 6.1...

No problem. While I liked some of the eye candy and the way things worked on 6.5, I found it too problematic for me. Even with MS installed over the top, it just wasn't what I liked.

I would rather a phone work, work solid then to have to mess with it all of the time, and install 20 cabs to make it work correctly. But that's just me.

While some may not like 6.1, I find it fine. With MS installed over it, it works great. I like the layout and how it is designed over 6.5 Again personal preference. I have a much easier time navigating the device.

Again, the HTC site.... Not sure, but i've ran flawless since yesterday morning.
