Try running Quick GPS to download satellite coordinates and ensure you are downloading satellite data automatically, then attempt to launch your GPS programs.

Is your AGPS enabled or disabled? I had to disable it on mine to get trapster and TomTom working.

is Quick GPS free? when the data "expires" do you have to pay for it again? Or can you just keep updating it for free? That word "expire" makes me paranoid, so I wanna make sure there isn't some sort of monetary charge before I proceed with this

yes it is free. You are just downloading the data at least once a week to keep the phone up to date. It says expired because it only uploads 1 week worth of gps satellite data
