Ezinput 2.1 Add words in Full QWERTY? and symbols with HW keyboard?

I've been looking around and found a semi-fix to this issue on XDA-devs, but it still doesn't work:

When you expand the word suggestion for xT9 on compact qwerty and phone pad, you are given the option to add the word. This option isn't available when the FULL qwerty keyboard is active. Anyone know of a way to make this work? I really hate the XT9 not knowing my words, and It's nice to use it.

What I have found:
On XDA-devs, someone suggested that you can change the location of the word library for XT9 and add the short-cut of the application somewhere. This lets you add the word, but goes away after a soft reset, and isn't native in the actual keyboard.


On a side note: When in HW keyboard mode, on my Sprint TP2, I try to access the Symbol menu. It pops up and goes away. Anyone know why?
