Anyone can discuss how to increase battery life

I know there are registry hacks to increase poll interval, and also tips like set 30% backlight level, weather/email/GPS manual update etc. Other than that, different custom ROMs still vary in battery life. Some like MightyROM or MalROM have a very good battery life (even better than non-tweaked stock IMO). Another issue might be too many programs installed, and maybe Sense 2.5 also consumes more power than 2.1.

Any experiences on how to increase battery life that I am not aware of? Thanks!

2.5 definitely consumes more life than 2.1. That was my experience with mighty WAR vs. standard Mighty.

I always let mine drain & recharge fully after every flash. That seems to help. You probably already knew that though.

The things I noticed helping my 1.5 month old stock 6.1 Sprint TP2's battery make the greatest step forward are:

1) Polling the battery less frequently:
HKLM>Drivers>Builtin>Battery
Batterypoll value = 40000 or more (default is 5000)

2) Live mail & Gmail sync every 1/2 to 1 hrs intervals

3) Internet cab to disable after 60 seconds

4) Backlight+ screen goes off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

I unplug from overnight charging @ 8am & be @ 30% by 5pm with no use.
Now I am at 75%-85% entering post work hrs with little to moderate use.
(Usually emails, txt, lite surfing, streaming video for short burst)

So if I had to run out for the evening I theoretically would top off in the car & be ready for another 12+ hrs.

Without any reg edits or tweaks, my MightyROM 2/10/10 version has outstanding battery life... I went to school today and forgot to charge my phone last night, left the house at 8:30am with 37% made a few calls, couple texts, and GPS'd a restaraunt for lunch, got home at 3:30 and battery was at 30%... Now coming from a TP1 I can honestly say that I WAS BLOWN AWAY with the battery life of a TP2 vs TP1 especially with a flashed rom and tons of installed cab's...
