memory allocation

Did anyone on here have a I-Mate Jam?

I ask as I did, it was my first win mob devide and it was great (at the time).
One interesting feature was the ability to change the memory allocation to whatever you liked within reason.

I never kept much on the device and installed tomtom etc onto the storage card so I always threw the slider over alocating most of the internal memory for programs, not storage.

Waybe it was a wm5 thing, or even specific to that device, but I sure would like to be able to do that with my TP2.
Energy Rom and the stuff I have loaded leaves almost nothing in program memory and there's 130meg in the storage alocation that I just don't use.

Re: memory allocation

Oh, and I have another memory question, Coreplayer is quite large and is the only large program I have installed to the memory, all the others like skype, are on the card.
Will Coreplayer work just as well from the card?

Re: memory allocation

Unfortunately, WM5 and above Microsoft has removed this ability, in favor of dedicated RAM/ROM.

Re: memory allocation

I've always had CorePlayer on a card. No problems.
