Is there an application that will listen to the music around and determine the song? I know my friend has an App for his Iphone, was curious if the TP2 had something similar. Not a huge deal, but curious.

Unless the song is in a foreign language, couldn't one simply google some of the lyrics?

the exact same program that your friend has is in the marketplace and its called shazam. For $4.99 you will get to save your searches.
