Re: rom after rom after rom

I just install the one I decide on. If I don't like it I change to a different ROM. If I like it I keep it until either I get bored with it or I see a different one that has something I want.

Re: rom after rom after rom

The energy rom seems to be the one i like the most. it just seems txt messeging and explorer seems screwy with it.

i might give that pie / ie converter thing another try.

i wish i coudl just find a cab to isntall the old pie rather than the new opera like internet explorer they have in 6.5

Re: rom after rom after rom

Man just use Opera and Skyfire like the rest of us, lol.

Opera is about as good as it gets for day to day browsing. And Skyfire is right there with it- even surpassing it and showing the full desktop version of youtube and any other flash sites.

I'm using indagroove's ROM because it works well with SPB Mobile Shell. I don't use TouchFlo so I prefer the ROMs that don't have it.

the thing about opera is that you have to zoom in each time you load a new page. i use a page for work that was designed to work with the tp1. it shows up perfectly so there is no scrolling left or right. but having to zoom in each time i post a part ads ALOT of clicking and alot of time not looking at the road.

the problem im having with internet explorer in part aswell is that i scroll across a page, then wait for the page to update.

that and turning on text sellection shifts the text down 1/4 sccreen.

That pretty much sums it up.

The only thing is it might take a while for you to find the right rom. Installing all your apps trying the rom out and only to find it has something you don't like and now you have to install another rom and do the whole thing over again. It definitely requires time and patience. Then you get the flashing itch when a new version of the rom comes out and do it all over again .

Re: rom after rom after rom

Yeah, I agree with SawltyDog: just try the one you want and flash when you want to. It's like going to your favorite shop, except you don't have to pay for anything you buy lol.

I think Calkulin's rom is a good place to start. I've been on that rom for about a month now, and I still have no complaints.
