Is my battery drain normal?

Here is my situation. I bought a touch pro 2 used. The guy I bought it from has the following software on it. Manilla Version 2.1.19202217.5 and mightyROM WWE 12/19/09 on it with wm 6.5. I made 4 calls lasting a total 45 min. woth of talk time. sent and recieved a total of 9 texts and one picture mail. The battery was at 100 % starting at 11:00 am and is now at 60%. I have had all programs closed, bluetooth off as well as wifi. I was wondering if this is normal. I have been debating is I should try to just set it back to the stock rom but I am a bit worried about bricking my phone since I am not to sure about the procedure.

Re: Is my battery drain normal?

do you have the 1% battery driver installed or does it jump by 10's? i would try uninstalling all "aftermarket" cabs aside from the ones needed by the rom to work on your network and see if batery life changes. Stock ROM seems to drain more battery life than MightyROM. I've been using Mighty for about a week now and my battery is usually at 25% by the end of the day with moderate use (30-50 texts and 15-30 minutes of calls, some web-browsing) also with bluetooth on. Another note is my battery life seems to drop quickly from 100-75% and then things drain a little slower.

Re: Is my battery drain normal?

also turn off push or just use the clean up cab for simplicity

Re: Is my battery drain normal?

My battery is in increments of 10%. I have push email turned off and havent been able to get my bluetooth to work pair up. Could I just to a hard reset to go back to the original mightyrom config insteada of uninstalling everything?

Re: Is my battery drain normal?

You may want to recondition the battery....by doing that it may help. Drain the battery all the way to when the phone shuts off and doesnt come back on, then charge the phone overnight...use it and see if that helps...some people say these batterys dont need this but other people including me do it and it seems to help. Also the cooked ROM your on could be causing the battery to drain...I do more than you on my TP2 in the timeframe and it doesnt drain that fast...Try and find the original stock 6.1 rom for you phone and try that also.

Re: Is my battery drain normal?

Your just wasting a good lithium battery draining it down to the bone.

Charge over night. Remove Battery and install and charge again.

Batteries will learn over time and get better.

When flashing or hard reseting, do it with a full battery.

Battery may be normal for OP depending on signal strength.

I'm wonder now if that is what caused my recent battery problems. I reflashed to the 6.5 WM upgrade and I only had %50 battery when I did it. Since then my battery life is half if what it used to be, and when it's plugged into PC with usb it actually drains the battery rather than charging it. I have done 2 hard resets but no change. I have the no push cab. Also running SPB Mobile shell (as I was with the 6.1). Getting frustrated....

Charge the battery to a full charge then you might want to try installing a new version of MightyRom like the 01.13.2010 release. Don't forget to provision your carrier after flashing new Rom.
