another BT headset

I've owned 8 different BT headsets. I like my Jabra bt1080 with stereo and caller ID, but i noticed on my TP2 it can't hang up the calls via hitting the button. That's awfully annoying...

Meanwhile my old bulky Jabra BT800 is working great. I get announcements and notification coming across the headset and also vc is working great.

Which a2dp stereo headset are you guys using and I would rather one with Caller ID as well?

Thanks,
Sid

I'm using the Plantronics/Altec Lansing BackBeat 906 and everything's working great with my TP2. It hangs up, manages call waiting, activates voice dialing, and controls my media player. The sound quality is nice as well and it has a bass boost feature. I'd recommend it to anyone. It also has been very durable since I use it while I exercise. I can ball it up and put it in my pocket with no worries. Really a nice, compact headset. It uses Plantronics bluetooth dual mic AudioIQ technology combined with Altec Lansing's headphone quality.

However, I don't know what you're referring to about the caller ID, but the caller ID works on my phone, but my headset doesn't let me know who's calling.

Re: another BT headset

Have you guys or anyone tried the Plantronics 855?

I have the BT8010 but lost the second ear piece and was looking to try something different.

Re: another BT headset

The sprint stock rom has a few issues with bluetooth, and using your earpiece to hang up the call won't work. Many of the custom roms have fixed that issue.

It's an issue with the stupid bluetooth stack making the headset connect as stereo bluetooth headphones instead of a headset even though you may have it unchecked, the headset thinks it's in music mode and won't hang up. To fix that press the outer most button (that switches it between music and headset mode) before you try and hang up.

I also own a BT8010. The new bluetooth stack in most cooked ROMs should have this fixed. It's fixed for me..
